Wheelchair lap quilts - 2013 (96-128)

Last week (4-16-13) we inventoried our stock of completed quilts that are ready to be donated.  Here is a photo log of the 35 quilts that are ready to go!!!

These are mostly lap size quilts to go to nursing homes, along with a few baby quilts.

Most of our small quilts are 40"x40", so its easy to quilt them on a domestic machine. And it's easy to cut backing from one piece of fabric.

Many of the quilts below are cut from the fat quarters and fat eighths quiltfabric.com gave to us.  We had a few cutting sessions at Lois J's house and put together oodles of kits for the quilts.  Some of the fabric combinations are a bit odd, but really they look pretty nice together.  We've discovered that some quilts look fabulous in person and photograph ugly and others fabric combinations look better in the photos than in person.  We believe no fabric should not be part of a quilt.

Our many volunteers put them all together in time for a big donation opportunity.  Enjoy the pics!
