Our Quilt Group began in September 2008 when five of us (Sue Parenti, Lois Jacobs, Linda Profetto, Mary Lou Berry and Maura Sandoval) took a beginner quilting class at Quiltfabric.com. We continued together in intermediate and advanced quilting classes and met Debbie Gollwitzer and Joni Supataraporn in the later classes. The group has expanded to include many more quilters (Helen Marzec, Linda Dishman, Linda Doyle, Denice Korcal, Susan McCoy, Marianne Hebel, Donna Clavey, Arlene Taylor and the former quiltfabrics.com shop owner Chris Sass, and many more)

In 2010 using donated fabric (from Quiltfabric.com) we created kits for pillowcases for the 'Million Pillowcase' project. With the help of many volunteers we donated over 350 pillowcases to some shelters and Gotlieb Hospital in December of 2010.

Since then we have made literally hundreds of quilts to donate to various places around Chicagoland.  This blog documents these quilts and other donated items.










RIP: In 2014 we lost member MaryLou Berry and in 2018 we lost Sue McCoy.  You are both missed.
