2018-2020 Patriotic Quilts (888-947)

 Denice has created most these lap quilts from 

fabric Patriotic panels.  

They'll be given to a hospice that honors veterans.

Interesting story: January 2021

        These quilts are given to a hospice that serves the nursing home where my father-in-law, Hal Parenti, was living.  Shortly before he passed away a representative from the hospice presented him with a quilt.  My husband Gary was there for the ceremony he took a picture of the quilt he received, and asked if I knew anything about it.  Funny thing was I'd never seen it, as it was photographed on a day I was not at the condo.  So, of course, I searched thru all the photos, cuz I knew it was from our group, it had to be, who else?  

        Just below this story is the photo of his quilt, made by Denice. What I learned from this experience is that the quilts we make are appreciated.  My husband, his sister and her husband were so very impressed by the quilt and ceremony.
